Wetzlar 2.5x fixed-power German rifle scope vintage

Description

This was on an air rifle that I got at a show. I have no knowledge of it at all, other than a bit found on the web. It's clear, it works, and it is built quite stout. I've had several questions about dimensions and construction. The tube is all-steel, and with a non-standard, thin diameter of .75 to perhaps .8 of an inch.
