Vintage RARE Caesars Palace LV Mug/cup Black & White 1966 Grand Opening Iconic.
In August 1966, Caesars Palace, a 14 story hotel with 700 rooms, was opened with a lavish grand opening party costing million and attended by such celebrities as Johnny Carson and Jimmy Hoffa.
At this time in 1966, this mug was introduced. This mug is iconic. The mug is black and white and represents pictures from the grand opening of Caesar’s Palace. One of the pictures on the mug is an iconic picture of an employee of the new hotel - casino posing by the marquee on July 22, 1966, two weeks before the grand opening. There are also pictures of showgirls and Cesar and the Caesar sign marquise. This mug is both iconic and rare. It would grace anyone’s collection.
There are no scratches chips cracks or breaks. It is pretty much in perfect condition. Unbelievable for a 56 year old mug. There are not a lot of these around. If you’re a collector of Caesar’s Palace, casinos, Las Vegas or just cool mugs, this is a fabulous gift to yourself. The mug stands 6 1/2” tall and has a diameter of 3 1/2”. The widest part with handle is about 5 1/2”.
