Description
For sale is a Vintage Weaver 330 M.8 rifle scope w/ click adjustment turrets, 2.75x magnification, 3/4" tube with crosshair reticle that has been fully restored. My understanding is these early M8C's were also used as military sniper scopes on the 1903A3 and 1904A4 rifles, a precursor to the Weaver M73B1, although this scope did/does not have a serial number engraved on the tube. This scope has been fully restored. I've made tools that allows me to disassemble vintage scopes w/o damage. The scope was completely disassembled, metal de-rusted, then sanded, polished, and re-blued. Care was taken to ensure lettering remains sharp. The lenses were inspected to ensure no delamination, scratches, or other issues, then cleaned with anti-fog lens cleaner prior to scope reassembly. The scope is in pristine condition with very clear optics and has not been mounted since restoration. Check my feedback - All happy customers!
The 330 was made from 1930 to 1947. It has 2.75x magnification and unlike many other scopes of the time features achromatic lenses that provide a clear view. Eye relief is very generous and accommodating 3 1/2" to 6". Weight is 9.5 ounces, and length is 10.5". Given the excellent eye relief and clear sharp optics the 330's are one of my favorite vintage Weaver scopes. This would be great choice for a vintage sniper build, and also looks and works great on any classic rifle of the era.
30 day inspection period, buyer pays return shipping. This assumes the scope is returned in the condition found (i.e., no mounting marks). This item is listed on other auction sites and thus can end w/o notice.
