Specifically designed for long-range applications mounted on rifle platforms, the Sig Sauer 6-24x50 TANGO4 Riflescope combines a powerful magnification range and outstanding optics with a partially illuminated reticle and precision turret system to produce a scope that is ideal for long-range shooting and hunting from the pre-dawn hours through the day and into late dusk.
A suite of optical technologies are brought to bear that are designed to complement each other and enhance your view. First is the use of low-dispersion glass, which minimizes distortion and light absorption to transmit bright and clear images. Next Sig employs ultra-wide broadband, anti-reflection SpectraCoat lens coatings, along with protective LenShield and LensArmor coatings. This combination of glass and lens coatings produces views with sharp resolution and high contrast in all light conditions. The front of the objective has threads for filters—like polarizing or ND—to enhance the views, especially when operating in snowy conditions or on/near water.
The reticle, located on the first (front) focal plane, features illuminated center hairs for improved visibility with 10 selectable intensity levels from two dim settings that are night vision device (NVD) compatible all the way up to a bright setting that makes it clear and distinct in full daylight. A motion detection system, MOTAC, automatically activates the illuminated portion of the reticle when the weapon is shouldered and powers it down when it senses inactivity after 2 minutes—ensuring a long battery life and instant illumination when you need it. Exposed tactical turrets provide precise 0.1 MRAD per click impact point correction with a wide 17 MRAD adjustment range on the elevation turret that allows you to adjust for ballistic drop when shooting at extreme long ranges. A free Sig Ballistic Turret (SBT) elevation dial is included with the scope that allows you to have a custom dial created for your specific caliber and load to further improve your shot accuracy. To withstand the repeated recoil of regular use and to provide the adjustment room required for the elevation turret, the one-piece maintube is made of lightweight but strong aluminum with a robust 30mm diameter. The housing is fogproof and sealed to an IPX7 rating to make it waterproof, submersible, and resistant to internal fogging.
