This is an 8 oz. coffee cup from the legendary Sands Hotel & Casino (A Place in the Sun) on The Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Sands opened in 1952 and was imploded in 1996. It was located where The Venetian stands today.
Among the many notable aspects of The Sands is that the hotel famously hosted The Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford) in 1960 during the filming of the original Ocean's 11.
