    Description

    Up for sale is a Bushnell Scopecheif VI 4-12X40 AO BDC Prismatic Rangefinder Rifle Scope. It is in excellent condition. This came off my 300 Win Mag, the only reason I’m selling it is I put a higher magnification scope on the rifle! There are some ring marks from being previously mounted, but other than that it is in excellent shape. Only thing cosmetically wrong is it’s missing the rubber ring around the eye piece see pictures. I bought the scope this way and it doesn’t affect the performance of the scope! I contacted Bushnell to see if it could be sent in and be replaced and they said there were no parts available. However they did say that most gunsmiths could do it that deal in repairing older scopes. I never pursued it as it didn’t affect its performance and wasn’t a big deal to me!
    Glass is crystal clear and the Prismatic Rangefinder works as it should! It comes with the a Butler creek scope cover, a copy of the owners manual, and 2 Bullet Drop Compensator dial 1C and a blank, to make your own if you reload. The 1C is already installed in the scope. The dials correspond to the different bullet weights for the particular caliber you’re shooting. This scope was made in Japan when it was still part of the Bausch & Lomb company. These scopes were top notch, well made scopes unlike the new Bushnell scopes of today! Focus and adjustable objective lenses both work like they should! I have replaced the top screw cap that was plastic with an aluminum one. I have not painted it gloss black as you can see, I have left that up to the new owner if he/she wishes to do so. This holds the dials in place and many of the threads over the years have broke off the bottom of these caps making the scopes useless, unless you can find a replacement, which is pretty much impossible. You don’t have to worry about it breaking off any longer with this scope!! Bushnell does not have replacement parts for these scopes any longer. Most of the scopes you find today only have one dial at most, this one has 2, plus an upgraded screw cap you won’t have to worry about twisting off in the dial housing because you tightened it down to much!!
