You are bidding on a vintage Alaskan Lyman All Weather rifle scope with the original box, instructions, leather lens covers and Redfield rings.
The scope is 2 ½ power as noted on the rear bell.
The scope is marked “The Lyman Gun Sight Corp., Made in Middlefield Conn., US Patent No. 2078858, ALASKAN 40322”.
The tube is 7/8 inch in diameter.
The finish is blue but there are some fine scratches.
The optics are clear with no fogging or debris.
The scope has the cross-hair reticle.
The windage and elevation adjustment move smoothly.
The leather lens cover is in good condition and fits well.
The rings are Redfield and are blue.
The scope is similar to the military Alaskan Lyman’s but does not have the Government markings as M81or M82.
The scope will fit the 7/8 rings on a M1903A4 and M1C sniper rifles.
